DC Tarot 0 The Fool by tractorman-chan DC Tarot 0 The Fool by tractorman-chan
The first card in the DC Comics Tarot Card Collection. Let's see how long I can do this before I lose steam... o_o
----edit---- I tried to upload this as a gif but after that fiasco I'm just going to upload it as a jpeg and add the DA color background. Trying to make it a gif to retain transperancy totally failed. --------

Card: 0 The Fool
Character: Ambush Bug

Heavily Referenced Rider Waite Tarot Card Deck

Ambush Bug is my favorite comic book character. I realize that puts me in the lowest common denominator of DC comics fans, but... I don't care. Ha. Ambush Bug is a little bit (... debatable...) insane and his suit allows him to teleport anywhere. He is also one of the very few characters in DC continuity that can actually break the 4th wall and reference things out of continuity. He has died once or twice but always seems to come back once people have forgotten that he actually died. His arch enemy is Julie Schwartz, the good-will ambasador of DC that actually died in the past year or so. He was created by Keith Giffen and, when he is sporadically written, usually written by Giffen. Last appearance was in 52 where he had a cameo and started confusing characters in the book with out of continuity information. He knows he's in a comic book and there has been an occassion when his comic actually devolves into a novel because his writers are drunk in a bar.
His real name is Irwin Schwabb and he was originally a murderer. He later reformed and became a detective and a sort of very lackluster/incompetent superhero. His sidekick is "Cheeks", a doll.
:heart: Ambush Bug is yay. Read it. And while you're at it, read Vext and the Heckler and the Justice League (and find out about oreos and the Martian Manhunter) and, hell, it's not by Giffen, but read Major Bummer and Love Bunny and Mr. Hell, too.
Funny comics die too young... ;_;

I love how causal it is.
"Yeah, sure, I'll walk off a cliff. Why not?"
It has that sort of attitude.

Verily, he doth not notice yon cliff. Which begs the question, would he simply keep walking, like Wile E. Coyote? Of course, I never BEG the question... I wheedle, I nag... but, no. Never beg.

Thor in Twisted Toyfare Theater. He talks all fun. ^^ One of my favorites is when he's at Hooters as an employee and Spidey sees him. Spidey says, "Thor, just because the courts say you can doesn't mean you should." Then Thor starts crying and says, "Verily, boys doth cry."
